Tell Me You're Kidding

Posted by Bitten Usagi at 7:54 PM 1 comments
My job is slowly killing my soul.

Warning: Rant Ahead

My workplace has a loyalty program and now anything purchased in store (except tobacco & lottery count towards points. $1=1pt After so many points you get an extra discount on your gas).

So here's what is pissing me off.

First it's that we have to ask for the loyalty card and if we fail to do so the first time is a write up and second time is fired. I'm sorry but that's ridic on it's own, but whatever.

So then they changed the registers to print EVERY receipt. Yeah we're killing a forest a day, I shit you not. It's ridic. We can ask if they want a receipt. If so, we print a receipt. If not, we go on about our merry way. It worked before, why not now? Oh because customers want to know their points. No, corporate wants them to want to know.

So now we have to circle it on the receipt and point it out to them or... yep fired.

So as I said before tobacco and lottery don't count but get this if someone buys just those or one of those two we still have to ask for the loyalty card. It's complete bull. If I were a customer I would be pissed if they had me dig out my card when it didn't even matter.

Plus there's all this shit we have to ask and then we have to suggest something else for them to buy. I'm sorry but when I'm a customer I want to go in, get my crap and get out. One time we were doing a fundraiser and so then it was also "would you like to donate to __" and I had customers bitching about everything I was asking! But do you think that mattered? (ummm if you're wondering... no it didn't)

So today I got bitched at (not by my mgr or a coworker but by some close to corporate jerk who doesn't know how to do anything but bitch about what's not being done right) for not asking customers who bought just ciggs.

Yeah... stick a fork in me... I'm freaking done.

This Vamp Bunny Queen Fails at Blogging

Posted by Bitten Usagi at 9:50 AM 2 comments
Good grief... you'd think I'd be blogging daily now that school is out but no. Mostly I haven't felt like blogging because I'm in a terrible mood (which is happening a lot now that I'm working almost full time) or I'm too busy when I'm in a good mood... and I've uh...

been RPing... a lot.

Because reality sucks and I prefer to get lost with beloved fictional characters. Sad but true.

Anyway... So here's a question...

Did you know I originally started this blog as somewhere to post my manga reviews from YouTube?

'Tis true!

And guess what I've NEVER done... Oops.

But the plan is to start up again. But don't worry I will keep blogging too. Now you'll just get to laugh at me in videos as well as reading crap I write, lol. Oh & I'm going to try to blog more often... I swear! *hangs head* If nothing else if I'm in a terrible mood I'll search for something hilarious to share or something random from Stumble! which is my new fav anti-work. Lol.

So yeah... how ya guys been? Have a missed me? Lol. Oh & does anyone on here happen to know how to get it so you can type in a domain name I own and get a blog to show up? Like it will show the blog but the address will show be my domain name? If not that's cool, I'm sure I'll figure it out but I bought bittenphotography.com and I started a blog for my photography but I'm having issues getting it set up. #FAIL

Anyway... I'm off to go unpack some more stuff and look for my eyeshadow palette which I miss terribly and haven't seen since we moved. Which means I'm FREAKING OUT!

Later everyone! ^w^

Moving

Posted by Bitten Usagi at 10:52 PM 1 comments
So if you follow me on Twitter you already know this...

We're moving!

Finally!
*sigh of relief*

In the last 6 months or so our current apartments have gone downhill. And I have tweeted a few reasons of why we're moving up to numbers @234 and I'm pretty sure we could probably come up with that many reasons if we sat down and did it.

Now before I go on I feel I must explain something about this city. There are no clear cut lines to where the ghetto is. Where we lived the first year though... fully in the ghetto. As in gang fight in the parking lot, police chasing crooks into our parking, spider infested stairwell (no joke and I told them about it and 3 months later nothing had been done), bat in the hallway (yes a BAT as in flying creature) and hobos in the laundry room.

So when we found these apartments they were awesome. Clean, etc and the ghetto was all across the street and stayed there. In fact it stayed there for about 2 years. Well it started oozing across the street recently. I won't go into details but the gist is: druggies, g-units, trashed premises, disrespectful neighbors playing loud music at all hours, etc. Plus the fact that the walls have always been paper thin and I'm just not into listening to others get busy or have them able to hear us.

So yeah... we were irritated but making it work. Then they said we would have to start paying utilities and we said eff this. Which brings me to reason #76: Why would we pay for an apartment for what we could pay for a house?

So off went the search. Including finding an awesome deal only to have it fall through (we would have had to gut the basement of the house, replace all plumbing and so much more). Then we kept finding good deals only to have them gone already (to which I say "take your damn ad off the internet if the place has been rented out!").

So we were starting to freak out, well at least I was anyway, lol. It was getting to be crunch time and we had no where to move to.

Then a guy at Cody's work says his wife works for a place and another guy that works there was looking to get out of his lease but had to find someone else to lease it before he could do so.

Went and looked at the place....

and fell in love.

It's a duplex, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage with w/d, huge unfinished basement, deck and yard. Better yet... it was unlisted and we were of a very tiny group that knew it was available. #WIN

So after finally signing the lease I breathed a giant sigh of relief.
Because for those who don't know me... I am VERY superstitious and I was afraid of jinxing the whole damn thing. So I was freaking out that someone was going to snag it out from under us before the lease was signed because we had to wait to pay the deposit.

Now we're finally moving and while I hate the act of moving I'm stoked. We did our walk through and stuff today (and looked at the garage for the first time which is effing HUGE) and grabbed some necessities and took em over.

I feel ridiculously excited over the washer and dryer. No more searching and fighting to get quarters and having to trudge through the elements to do laundry.

I am also ridiculously excited over our dog having a yard. I can't wait to see her tomorrow in the yard for the first time. And you may be going "She's a dog, she doesn't know anything other than she's hungry or has to go to the bathroom or wants lovings." but this is exciting for me. She's so much happier when we visit our parents and she can be let outside on her own and without a leash. She already knows something weird is going on and I think she'll get it when I take her and the cat over in the morning. (I say this because the cat stays home so the fact that she's coming with would be something... but I'm sure I'm just making shit up... or whatever that one thing is that I don't even want to bother trying to spell as I've been packing all day and am barely able to finish this up)

Most of all though...

Yeah we may be renting this place but it's the closest thing to a house we've had.

And I don't feel so claustrophobic there.

Stops to wipe away tears.

See I'm not a city girl. I'm a country girl. My hometown was about 670 people (and as Dad used to say the population never changed cause when a woman got knocked up a man left town ;) lol) and my graduating class was 28 people and we were like the 2nd or 3rd largest class the school had ever had. Apparently there had been a nasty winter in 1983-84 ;)

I hate the city. Especially Greeley. Not because of the smell (honestly cow poop doesn't bother me and srsly Ft. Morgan smells a gazillion times worse, I promise you) but I can barely see the stars at night, I'm surrounded by people, not only on the block but in the same building. The space I have to call my own is tiny, insignificant and borrowed.

And while the new place is still borrowed I feel like I can breathe. I can do things without being in someone's way or having someone in mine.

So anyway... what started as an informational, hey this is what is going on in our lives has turned into a novel that contains me sobbing like a moron, but it's okay. I think we're going to be a lot happier in a few days. Even happier than we are now, knowing we have it and it's real. Not because of what we'll have material-wise but because we'll finally feel like we have room.

Room to breathe and grow.

^w^

And yeah... I'll try to post pics soon! ^w~

Quickie Post #02

Posted by Bitten Usagi at 7:52 PM 1 comments
I know, I know. I've been a terrible blogger lately. *hangs head*

Damn school, job, internship, etc.

Internship is over now. I'm really sad that it's over but also kind of happy as it means it's one less thing I have to worry about. Going to miss watching games though! And running into hockey players here and there, though one of my fav players is now gone. :(

Job... still sucks. My coworkers are the only reason I can stand it. I'm just super lucky that they rock or I would go insane.

School... oh school. Wanna hear the news about school?

My Van Wilder plan has officially expired.

I will *knocks on wood* be graduating this fall. Those who follow me on Twitter know that I was totally freaking about it the day I finally turned in my major change form (I was still listed as Art Ed not just Visual Arts with a concentration in photography) and I was freaking out about graduating but also freaking about not graduating. Dumb right? Well now my fear is finally just not graduating. Life will be better when I'm done with school. I'll have more time to do the fun stuff I want to do. Yeah I'll still be working but full time classes AND working makes me wanna stab myself in the eye on an almost daily basis, so I am, ultimately, excited that the end is near!

So... uh there's a quick update. I'm off to read and write though... so for now that's it until I find more motivation to write a proper post.

Sorry all... my brain is fried. We're working on moving (and the lease isn't signed yet so I'm freaking we're going to lose it *knocks on wood for the millionth time*) and I just finished a paper and am so behind in photo studio it's ridic... so yeah I promise to try to write soon!
